Some cherry trees near my home started blooming in the second week of April. I took many photographs, especially closeups of the blossoms in front of the bark. When using the tele or the macro lens I had the problem that the background was always out of focus unless I stopped all the way down. I think that in this photograph a sharp background works best because it provides a good contrast to the blossoms. I thus had to use the tripod to increase the exposure times. This picture was finally taken at f/32 with an exposure of one second at ISO 400.
