Fog was covering everything below the Albis like a thick, vast layer of cotton. I had already shot some beautiful photographs during the afternoon and at sunset a soft blue light colored the snow and the horizon turned slightly pink. I was scanning the landscape for some interesting subjects and noticed how the repeating tree lines and the horizon formed regular horizontal stripes. I set up the tripod and took some pictures. Doing so I noticed the two distant mountains in the upper left corner and decided to include them in the photograph.
