About this Picture

Daylight was waning and I had to hurry to get out of the forest; I was not carrying a flashlight with me, nor was I familiar with the area and, in addition to all that, a thick fog made it difficult to see the path. The evening light combined with the mist immersed the whole forest into a gleam of blue. I immediately noticed the regularity of the tree trunks and the fascinating quality of light and color. I set up the tripod and took some pictures as quickly as I could. After a few minutes I had to move on, and when I got back to the town it was already pitch-dark.
